Report: Reds 1-1 Carmarthen Town

Llanelli Town and Carmarthen Town saw the points shared in the first Camarthenshire Derby of the season. A goal from Joe Hopkins for the Reds was later cancelled out following an equaliser from Josh Bull for the Old Gold.
The Reds dominated the opening ten minutes of the game, a number of well worked moves just failing to find the net. The best of the chances came from a well worked move between Joe Hunt and Ethan Cann, forcing Lee Idzi into a save.
Henry Jones came close to opening the scoring for the Reds just before the twenty minute mark. A quick corner allowing him to attempt a shot on goal from a tight angle - the shot marginally missed the target.
The Reds then had another great chance to open the scoring. Cann’s powerful header striking the post following a great cross into the area.
Jones almost opened the scoring for the Reds once again, a header forcing Idzi into a great save. Bradley Gibbings then saw his shot cleared off the line as the Reds continued to pile on pressure.
Kurtis Rees was dismissed by the referee just minutes before the break, the official showing two yellow cards within a matter of minutes.
The Reds finally took their deserved lead as Hopkins managed to get on the end of a loose ball in the box following a well delivered corner in the box.
Cann came close to getting on the scoresheet once again. His header from a corner just rising over the bar.
Carmarthen then equalised just before the 70 minute mark. Despite some strong defending from the Reds, the ball fell to Josh Bull at the back post - an easy finish to bring the game level.
The Reds worked hard to find a winner towards the end of the game, however failed to put away any of the chances. Lee Johns side remain unbeaten so far this season with a win and three draws.
