Our Opponents – Briton Ferry Llansawel

Friday’s visitors are well known to Llanelli supporters. The Reds and Ferry went toe-to-toe in the 2023/24 JD Cymru South promotion race, with our opponents edging us out in the final weeks to claim their place in the top flight.

Since then, Ferry have gone from strength to strength. After finding their feet in the Cymru Premier last season despite a tough start, they pushed on to secure safety with games to spare and have begun this campaign in impressive form.

Their shock 0–3 win over reigning champions TNS on the opening weekend was a statement of intent – they then followed that up with a draw against Cardiff Met, leaving them second in the table after the opening two games of the new campaign.

Past meetings have often been fiercely contested, though recent results have gone in Ferry’s favour:

28th July 2023: Briton Ferry 2-0 Llanelli Town

Players To Watch

Within our programme we will have a section dedicated to players to look out for on the night which supporters will be able to purchase at Stebo ahead of kick off.

However, one player that will undoubtedly be looking to continue his fine form for the visitors is current joint league top goalscorer Ruben Davies.

Three goals in the opening two games, the 21 year old netted a brace against TNS on during the opening weekend of the campaign – a more in depth look at Davies will be available to read in our programme.
