A Saturday afternoon trip to Flintshire awaits for the Reds as we head North to face Connah’s Quay Nomads in our latest top flight fixture.
Coming into the game off the back of two straight wins, the Reds will be looking to add more crucial points to the board tomorrow.
If you’re making the trip with the Reds tomorrow, all key information about the Essity Stadium can be found here.
Our Opponents – Connah’s Quay Nomads
The Nomads currently sit sixth in the JD Cymru Premier with 12 points having played 9 games. Last seasons Welsh Cup runners up have won just one of their last five games in all competitions.
Three wins against Flint Town United, Penybont and Haverfordwest County make up the bulk of their points so far with the rest coming from draws against Barry Town, Cardiff Met and Colwyn Bay.

Two of their three defeats have come against two of the top three with their third defeat coming against Bala Town at home.
Last Time Out
You only have to go back to March of this year to find our last meeting with the Nomads. We met them in the semi finals of the Welsh Cup last season.
An opening goal from Liam Eason on the day gave the Reds the lead at the break at Park Avenue in Aberystwyth. However, two quick-fire second half goals from Max Woodcock and Callum Bratley saw Connah’s Quay victorious 2-1 on the day.

It was a strong showing from the Reds last season and lessons that were learnt that afternoon could be key to turning around that result tomorrow afternoon.
Player to Watch
Connah’s Quay have a number of top players amongst their ranks but one player in particular really stands out as a top talent.
Rhys Hughes made a real name for himself last season scoring 17 goals in all competitions as well as adding 5 assists during the campaign.

A product of Evertons academy, Hughes has already scored four goals this season – continuing his impressive form into the current campaign.
Capped for Wales from U17-U21, the 24 year old will look to cause the Reds a number of problems on Saturday afternoon and is one player that the Reds will have to work hard to keep quiet.
