The brand new 25/26 campaign officially kicks off this Sunday afternoon for our Reds women in the Genero Adran Trophy group stage.
A trip to Cardiff Met Women awaits in what is set to be a tough test against the Archers with our opponents recently being relegated from the top flight – the Adran Premier.
Our Opponents – Cardiff Met Women
As stated, this Sunday’s opponents were competing in the top flight just last season – a title the club has previously won six times. Returning to the Adran South in this upcoming campaign, the Archers will be seen as an early favourite for the league title.

Did you know? The Archers have won this competition a record five times. However, this will be the first season they enter the competition at the group stage.
Undoubtedly the Archers will be looking to right their wrongs from the previous campaign and will look to use their experience in the upcoming campaign with eyes on a return to the top flight.
Reds Recap
Whilst the previous campaign wasn’t what we wanted, the Reds have continued to make progress ahead of our third season in the Adran Leagues. Having retained a good core of our first team as well as adding a number of new talented signings, we look to kick start the new campaign on the front foot this Sunday.
Our captain Catrin Breddy has spoken to club media for the clubs matchday programme. A short snippet when asked about pre season; Catrin said;

“It’s been a valuable pre-season. The teams we have played have helped us build confidence whilst also challenging us in the right areas.”
Catrin’s full piece in which she discusses our new signings, our new U19s setup and the season ahead can be found in the printed programme which will be on sale at Stebonheath Park on Saturday for the men’s game against Flint Town United.
