Despite some bright spells from the Reds, a single goal from Hussein Mehasseb was enough for Bala to take all three points on a rainy afternoon in Llanelli.
Following a slow start to the game it was Bala that got in front after 8 minutes. A great ball into the area from Jacob Tarasenko, with the first shot striking the post before the rebound was turned in by Hussein Mehasseb.
The Reds then had a great chance to get an equaliser just minutes later, Danny Williams’ fantastic through ball finding Alex Bonthron whose shot was saved from a tight angle.
Mike Lewis produced a fantastic stop to deny the visitors of a second in the 18th minute. The keeper got down quickly at his near post to deny a strong shot on target.

Tristan Jenkins delivered a fantastic ball into the area from a free kick just after halfway through the first half, his pass finding Joe Hopkins whose shot was stopped on the line.
Bala came close to a second in the 37th minute, a fantastic goal line stop by Sean Cronin followed by a super save by Mike to keep the visitors lead at a single goal.
A final chance for the Reds before the break came in the form of a penalty area scramble from a corner. Joe attempted a bicycle kick but his shot didn’t quite hit the target.
A very slow start to the second half from both sides after the opening quarter of an hour, the Reds continued to try and get an equaliser but no attack really threatened the Bala backline.

The Reds had a good chance to level just after the 70th minute, Alex Bonthron’s flick on finding Brad Gibbings whose shot from range forced the Bala keeper into a save at full stretch.
Bala captain Nathan Burke came close to scoring his sides second, a great curling effort from range forcing Mike into a fingertip save.
Bala continued to defend well for the latter stages of the game and held onto their single goal advantage taking all three points at Stebo.
