This is the first time we have faced Caernarfon since 2018 when the Reds were last in the top flight of Welsh football.
Our Opponents – Caernarfon Town
Saturday’s opposition were a force to be reckoned with in the previous campaign, a fourth place finish in the Championship conference saw them enter the European Play offs.
A 5-2 win in the opening game against Barry Town United then saw them defeat Cardiff Met on penalties. Caernarfon would then go on to face Haverfordwest County – being defeated at the final hurdle and just missing out on a trip to Europe.

The Canaries have become one of the top flight’s top teams – qualifying for and enjoying a run in Europe back in 2024. Caernarfon have also had a number of standout players over recent years who have moved on to pastures new; including Louis Lloyd who signed for St Johnstone after being named as the young player of the season in the last campaign.
The Canaries have strengthened their side even further this summer – the arrival of former TNS goalkeeper Connor Roberts and the recent return of Sion Bradley have been two standout additions to their squad this season.

Head to Head
As stated, the Reds have not faced the Canaries since 2018, here are the last four meetings with this Saturday’s opposition;
1st December 2018: Llanelli 2-2 Caernarfon
22nd September 2018: Caernarfon 3-0 Llanelli
14th March 2009: Caernarfon 0-4 Llanelli
25th October 2008: Llanelli 3-2 Caernarfon
Players to Watch – The Canaries
Connor Roberts (GK)
The veteran shot-stopper came out of retirement this season to join the Cofis, bringing a wealth of experience and leadership to the squad. Fresh from helping TNS secure a domestic treble last year, he boasts more than 230 top-flight appearances — a testament to his class between the sticks.
His standout performances for TNS, both in domestic competition and on the European stage during the 2024/25 campaign, earned him a call-up to the Wales senior training camp in May.
Sion Bradley (Winger)
Sion Bradley rejoins the Canaries on loan after a successful year with TNS. The forward made an instant impact in his debut season for the Saints, finding the net 12 times across all competitions and playing a big role in their remarkable domestic treble.
Having most recently made his mark for the Cofis during the club’s last European adventure, Bradley brings pace, creativity, and a sharp eye for goal. Set to make his first appearance since returning when the Canaries face the Reds this weekend, he’s a proven attacking threat capable of causing a lot of problems this Saturday.

Josh Lock (Midfielder)
The young midfielder joined the Cofis on loan from TNS last season and made an incredible mark on the side. 7 goals and 3 assists saw the 21 year old become a key part of the team in the previous campaign.
Lock now returns to the Canaries this season alongside Bradley with the pair both being loaned to Caernarfon for the season ahead – Lock featured for 28 minutes in the Canaries dramatic late comeback away at Cardiff Met in matchday 1.
