Goals from Harry Sturgess, who gave Barry Town the lead, followed by a fantastic free kick by Jay Farrell-Alli and a first time strike by Ewan McGowan to give the Reds the lead were later cancelled out by a two minute brace from Linnets substitute Joseph Case.
The Reds created the first real chance of the game five minutes in, a great strike by Jay Farrell-Alli almost beating the keeper at his near post.
However, just a minute later, a quick break from Barry saw them into the final third before Harry Sturgess was able to fire his shot across goal putting the Linnets in the lead.
Just after the twelve minute mark the Reds were back on level terms. Jay Farrell-Alli stepped up to take a free kick just outside the 18 yard box. The youngster curled his strike over the wall and into the top corner, beating the keeper at his near post.
Just after the twenty minute mark, a quality goal line clearance from the Reds then saw Levi Morgan charge the full length of the pitch, his pass playing in a chance for a shot on goal – the shot saved comfortably.
The Reds then took the lead, a fantastic piece of play saw some great link up play out wide before Levi’s cross found Ewan McGowan – his shot fired first time past the keeper with power.
A cagey affair followed until the visitors had a great effort to equalise five minutes before the break, a fantastic point blank save from Oliver Williams to keep the Reds ahead.
The Reds defence still had work to do before the break, two strong Barry attacks saw the Reds hold strong displaying their capabilities at the back by holding onto their one goal lead heading into half time.
A slow start to the second half as both sides battled hard to keep ahold of the ball, Barry had the first chance within the opening five minutes, a strong save once again from Oliver to deny the Linnets.
Two quick fire chances for the Reds just after the hour mark, Ewans low driven effort saved well by Luke Masrani before a fantastic passage of play resulted in Jack Smiths shot hitting the post.
Both sides battled hard for the majority of the second half, creating a range of chances but without any real threat – keeping the Reds in front by a single goal.
The game was then totally flipped on its head, Linnets substitute Joseph Case was played in behind the Reds backline 7 minutes before the end of the 90, his calmly taken strike was enough to find the net.
Barry then took the lead just a minute later, a corner swung into the area was found by Joseph who struck the loose ball past the keeper – his second within two minutes.
A huge chance for the Reds deep into stoppage time, Karim Hussein was played through on goal, his run into the area followed by a strong strike on goal sees Luke Masrani produce a fine stop to keep the visitors in front.
