Lee Johns side started the new campaign in style with a strong win on the road against Ynyshir Albions.
Despite the hosts going ahead through Calum Salter, goals from Tristan Jenkins, Alex Bonthron and a brace from Danny Williams sealed the Reds’ place in the next round of the league cup.
‘The Buns’ took an early lead through young forward Salter after just six minutes. However, it would be the returning Tristan Jenkins who would get the Reds level with a fine volley following on from a flicked on header by Bonthron.

The game would be completely turned around just one minute later, once again it was a header flicked on by Bonthron, this time finding Danny Williams who cut inside and curled his shot around the keeper to give the Reds the lead.
After just quarter of an hour the Reds would be forced into the first change of the afternoon as Josh Yorwerth was replaced by Joe Lloyd following a knock.
Just five minutes into the second half, the Reds increased the lead to two goals. A great cross into the 6 yard box from Tristan found Danny who headed home for his second of the afternoon.

A second change for the Reds saw James Parry replace Joe Hopkins. James making his return to the side following 11 months on the sidelines through injury, fantastic to have James back on the pitch.
It would then be a debut goal from Alex Bonthron to make it four for the Reds. A skillful move from Tristan once again getting a cross into the box – this time towards the back post finding Alex who hit home.
A great afternoon to kick start the season for the Reds who now book their place in the next round of the Nathaniel MG Cup.
